RAL Classic is a collection of 213 colors. Among them, 188 are solid colors, 2 are mica metallics, 5 are bright colors, and 15 are pearlescent colors.

RAL Classic colors are identified by a 4-digit number preceded by the letters ‘RAL’ (for example, RAL 1028). The first digit represents the color category (1: yellow, 2: orange, 3: red, 4: violet, 5: blue, 6: green, 7: gray, 8: brown, and 9: shades of white and black). The remaining three digits are assigned sequentially. The name of a color shade (for example, ‘Melon Yellow’ for RAL 1028) is an auxiliary designation. For precise identification, both the number and the name should be used to avoid confusion due to possible transposition of digits.
